Refund & Cancellation Policy

These guidelines supplement the respective training terms and conditions and terms and conditions shop and regulate cancellation, refund and return of booked services and ordered goods on criticalknowledge.org.

PART A — TRAININGS, CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

(Contract partner: Johannes Kouba — Critical Knowledge)

1. Cancellation by participants

1.1 A cancellation must be made in writing by email.

1.2 The following cancellation conditions apply, unless otherwise stated on the respective course page:

  • Up to 14 days before the start of the course: full refund of the course fee
  • 13 to 7 days before the course starts: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before the course starts or no show: no refund

1.3 The date of receipt of the cancellation is decisive.

2. Rebooking

2.1 It is possible to rebook to another date subject to availability.

2.2 There is no right to rebook.

2.3 Courses or workshops that have already started cannot be rebooked.

3. Digital content & online courses

3.1 Once digital content has been activated, there is generally no right to a refund.

3.2 The statutory right of withdrawal for consumers remains unaffected.

3.3 If the participant has expressly agreed that the execution of the contract will begin before the expiry of the cancellation period and has confirmed that the right of withdrawal expires as a result, there is no right to a refund.

4. Cancellation by provider

4.1 If a course is cancelled by the provider, the entire amount already paid will be refunded.

4.2 No further claims (e.g. travel or accommodation costs) exist unless there is intent or gross negligence.

PART B — GOODS/ONLINE SHOP

5. Withdrawal of goods

5.1 Consumers have the legal right to cancel the purchase contract within 14 days without giving reasons.

5.2 The cancellation period is 14 days from the day on which the customer or a third party named by him has received the goods.

5.3 To exercise the revocation, a clear statement by e-mail is sufficient.

6. Return

6.1 The goods must be returned to the seller no later than 14 days after the cancellation is declared.

6.2 The direct costs of returning the goods are borne by the customer.

6.3 The goods must be returned unused, undamaged and in original packaging.

7. Exclusion of withdrawal

There is no right of withdrawal in the case of:

  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if the seal has been removed after delivery
  • custom-made products
  • Products whose expiration date has been exceeded or manipulated

8. Refund

8.1 After proper cancellation, the purchase price will be refunded within 14 days.

8.2 The repayment will be made using the originally used means of payment.

8.3 The seller may refuse repayment until the goods have been received or proof of return is available.

9. Damaged or defective goods

9.1 If damaged or defective goods are received, the seller must be informed immediately.

9.2 The statutory warranty provisions apply.
