First aid refresher in the company (4h or 8h) — in-house training
In-house | 4h or 8h | For companies & teams
Description
Companies in Austria are required by law to regularly update the first aid skills of their operational first aiders.
Our first aid refresher course for companies (4 or 8 hours) is carried out in accordance with Austrian employment law and is carried out directly at your company — throughout Austria.
The course refreshes existing knowledge in a practical way and strengthens the security of your employees in an emergency — until professional rescue workers take over.
Statutory basis — Austria
Pursuant to Section 40 Coreper (Workplace Ordinance) and Section 26 ASchG (Worker Protection Act), companies must ensure that there are adequately trained company first aiders.
Knowledge should be refreshed regularly in order to:
- to ensure safety in operation
- to meet legal requirements
- Minimize liability risks
- ensure the ability to react in an emergency
The number of first aiders depends on:
- Company size
- hazard class
- work environment
Two models to refresh
Companies can choose between:
4-hour refresher (every 2 years)
or
8-hour refresher (every 4 years)
Both variants meet the legal requirements in Austria.
In principle, our workshops and courses are held in the Wiener Neustadt area in Lower Austria. For group bookings of more than 12 participants (e.g. associations, companies, closed companies, etc.), we are also happy to come to you with all training materials after personal consultation.
Locations in Austria:
- Focus Range Traiskirchen

Target group
This course is intended for businesses, educational institutions, healthcare professionals, and other workers in areas that require qualified first responders.
What you can really do after the course
After the course, participants will be able to:
- Make the emergency call correctly
- Coordinate the rescue chain
- Perform resuscitation (CPR)
- Use an AED correctly
- apply life-saving emergency measures
- Provide safe care for frequent emergencies
- Treat bleeding and recognize shock
The content provided strengthens knowledge about first aid measures, the right behavior in emergencies and the ability to save lives — at work and in leisure time. First aiders care for injured colleagues and alert emergency services until professional help arrives. Training in defibrillators (AED) is an important part of training to ensure the safety of all employees. Regular training improves knowledge, reduces downtime and promotes health in the company. The aim is to create security and routine so that there is no uncertainty in an emergency.
